Dr. Marmur’s career spanned from her IVY league education in dermatology at Cornell, to her academic position as Chief of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery and Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC before starting her private practices at Marmur Medical and launching MMSkincare.

Yes, all of our products are designed and tested for sensitive skin. Aloe and Wild Indigo are two ingredients especially nice for sensitive skin.

Yes, it is considered safe to use LED light therapy everyday as directed. If you have light sensitivity, take photosensitizing medicines, have an eye disorder, or any other special medical circumstances we prefer you ask your personal doctor who knows you best. Our clinical studies were performed using the light for 20 minutes daily for 6-12 weeks with zero side effects from light therapy.

The majority of oral medications and topical skin medicines are not photosentizing. LED light is not the same as UV light, which is more commonly the cause of sun induced side effects. LED light is different and rarely associated with triggering photosensitivity. If you have light sensitivity, take photosensitizing medicines, have an eye disorder, or any other special medical circumstances we prefer you ask your personal doctor who knows you best.

Eye safety is always a priority and this is why we provide goggles with every MMSphere. Our MMSphere has the additional feature of a lens over the LED light panel to protect your eyes. For some people, goggles are not required to be worn during treatment, so long as you are not staring directly into the light. For those people who have eye sensitivity, ophthalmologic concerns, or are on photosensitizing medicines, we recommend you speak to your eye doctor and use the goggles.

We recommend that each session is 20 minutes. If you would like to do multiple treatments/colors in one day, we suggest you do one session in the morning, and one in the evening.  Do not exceed 2 sessions in sequence if you feel any sensation in your skin. Low level light therapy is non-thermal, so you shouldn’t feel any heat sensation. Some published studies used green light for 2 hours consistently per day to reduce migraine pain, so there is a safety example, but we do not have studies to support using the light for too many sessions continuously. 

No, you don't need to use your Sphere while in the dark!
Our brighter setting of each color is designed for brighter, well-light areas, while our mellow settings are intended for darker rooms/low light.

To ensure your sphere lives a long life, please make sure you areusing the original charging cord, and charging while your device isset to 0. Always insert your charging cord gently.
